Headteacher's Welcome

St12aAs Headteacher of White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School, I am very pleased to welcome you to our website, and to our school.

This website is here for a number of different audiences - firstly for our families and our children, but also for our local community, and any prospective parents.  We hope that for whatever reason you visit our site that you get a full flavour of what our school is all about and find the information that you are looking for. Feedback is always welcome, and you are able to contact the school via email at admin@wcliffs.dfamat.com or by telephone on 01304 206174.

White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School is a welcoming, friendly school located in the St Radigund’s area of Dover. Our site, which has been home to a school for 70 years, enjoys elevated views over Coombe Valley and Dover Castle. The school belongs to the Samphire Star Education Trust, which also includes Astor Secondary School, Barton Junior School, and Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School. These four schools collaborate closely, regularly sharing expertise, resources, and effective working practices.

It is my privilege to lead such a dynamic and vibrant school where pupils, staff, trustees, parents, and the wider community strive for excellence and hold high expectations of one another. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning through challenge, support, encouragement, and praise, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Our child-centred approach guides all aspects of our work, both in academic settings and in the provision of support to families. Our class sizes allow us to offer a creative and engaging curriculum tailored to each child, supported by a committed and caring staff. Pupils develop high aspirations within our nurturing environment.

Children can begin their White Cliffs experience at Pebbles Nursery, which provides a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment for ages 2-4. The creative curriculum is designed to engage and challenge young minds. Staff are led by a qualified teacher and have strong expertise in early childhood development.

The educational experience at White Cliffs continues through Key Stages 1 and 2, with a curriculum designed around the needs and interests of our children. Classrooms are lively and children are enthusiastic about sharing their learning.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School. Should you wish to arrange a visit, please contact our office to schedule a tour. I look forward to meeting prospective parents and showing you what makes our school a unique and inspiring place.
