As part of their English work, the children have been designing and creating, disgusting sandwiches to stop the seagulls stealing Mr Grinling's lunch.
Posted on: 2 Jun 2023Ready, Aim, Fire!As part of their topic on castles this term, KS1 made catapults during their design technology lessons. They followed a plan, measured wood, cut it to length and attached the pieces with glue. They then tested the catapults with different weight items.

We are proud to say we met our target and have collected, washed, and joined enough packets to create the blanket for the homeless. Well done to all the members of the Eco Club and Mrs Cox who have worked so hard on this project.

This term 4 children were selected by Mrs Castle to received a Headteachers award for all their hard work. Well done to Finley, Lana, Adelina, and George.

The draw happened today, in the Thank You assembly where the 27 names were drawn. Well done to all our lucky winners.
Posted on: 30 Mar 2023KS1 visit Walmer CastleToday all of Year 1 and Year 2 visited Walmer Castle as part of the Science topic of Plants. The children explored the gardens and learnt about the different species of plants growing within them. Despite the wind and rain everyone had a lovely time.

We learnt different techniques to make a pinch pot and a coil pot this morning, and then this afternoon, we put those skills to good use to make different products that fit with our Viking topic. Thank you again Frazer!
