Felisha- "It was really fun beating your friends but I got really sweaty: it was great to show how fast I was." Z- "It was fun but tiring because the course was really long." Poppy- "It was tricky when we had to swerve thought the garden and when we went down the slope we had to really slow down." Kaydie- "It was really fun but really tiring, doing the extra distance, we had to pace ourselves."
Posted on: 11 Jun 2025Year 4 - Magical MathsThis week in Year 4, we’ve been putting our place value and addition/subtraction skills to the test in a fun and challenging way. Using dice, we rolled random numbers and then had to decide where to place each number into a column to help us get as close as possible to a given target number. It was a brilliant mix of strategy, mental maths and a bit of luck!

This week we thought about things we might take to the beach with us including sun cream, a sun hat, a towel and toys. We then wrote lists to help us remember everything. We have also had fun playing with the toy sea animals.

Children are to wear their PE kit into school every Monday in June as well as on their timetabled PE day. This term 10 children were nominated to receive the award. Well done, Jace, Tommy, Railon, Ivy, Leala, Jonh, Letica, Albie, Sophie and Lana.

Armed with wires, wheels, motors, and a whole lot of enthusiasm, the children dived into this hands-on STEM project with incredible focus and excitement.
Posted on: 15 May 2025Musical MaestrosThis term, Fledgling class have been lucky enough to be working with Kent Music on a project to inspire our youngest children to become musicians. Kelly, from Kent music has brought in different instruments each week for the children to explore. Each session has been filled with laughter and music as the pupils learn to follow along to a beat, fostering both their creativity and musicality.
Posted on: 8 May 2025VE Day CelebrationsOn Thursday 8th May, White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School celebrated VE Day. The children looked wonderful dressed in red, white and blue. The children joined in with a 2-minute silence during our special VE Day assembly led by Mr Danton. They enjoyed a special lunch of fish and chips with red, white and blue cupcakes. All the children across the school learnt about the importance of VE Day and remembering those who fought for our freedom and for peace in Europe.
