This week the College held Enterprise Week. This is where each class needed to design, promote, cost and make an item to sell at the Summer Fayre. 1B decided to make Dream Catchers which tied in beautifully with them wanting to read and write about the BFG. We bought metal hoops of different sizes and carefully wound brightly coloured wool around each one. We then developed our weaving skills further by creating a web in each one. We discussed the origins of the Dream Catcher and discovered that beads and feathers were special and sacred items for South American culture. We then created information posters about our product and decided on our pricing strategy for the Fayre. Our product went down a storm, with us completely selling out of catchers within the first 10 minutes! Well done 1B!
