Chess Champions

8 Children from Year 4 went along to a Chess Mastery Day at Christ Church. We learnt how the pieces move and take other pieces in the game.  We also learnt the 3 fundamental rules, 

1. Control the centre of the board,

2. Develop your pieces

3. Defend the king!

We had a fantastic time and have been putting these skills into practice in Chess Club, after school on Thursdays.
