Year 6 visit Dover Castle

Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic educational trip to Dover Castle and the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) Hospital, where history truly came to life.

The day began with an exploration of Dover Castle, one of England’s most iconic fortresses. The children discovered the castle’s fascinating history, learning about its vital role in defending the country through the ages. From ancient battlements to secret tunnels, every corner sparked curiosity and inspired awe.

Next, the class stepped back in time at the wartime hospital, where they saw firsthand how soldiers were cared for during conflict. The children were able to experience a slice of history, gaining a real understanding of medical practices during wartime and the bravery of those involved.

It was a fun, engaging, and memorable day, combining hands-on learning with a sense of adventure.
